Perhaps a mismatch between music and lyrics, a dirty blues might have been better. I couldn't resist rhyming Donald Trump with Forrest Gump, though I'd be surprised if it hasn't been done before. Whenever I come up with a new album title or band name I always google to see if it's been used already, and 99 times out of 100, it has. And the best 'sick-song' is of course still Lou Reed's 'Sick of You'. #folk #acoustic #mandolin #singersongwriter

It’s nice to hear your voice for the first time this year. A lovely pretty tune and I couldn’t agree more with the lyrics. Great song.

I’ve missed those rich, honeyed vocals! Love the delicate fingerpicking with which you open up, has a Don’t Think Twice vibe, and the subtle, classy touches of mandolin. As @billwhite51 says, it’s very laid back for a protest song 😂 but maybe that’s appropriate - hard not to feel so exhausted by events that you just bypass anger altogether. Great tune man.

i love both the guitar picking and the lead parts, its a pretty relaxed song considering the subject matter.
