You’re fortunate not to be in the same room as me, as I would now be giving you a massive kiss. This is a masterpiece. The faux-heartfelt tone is exactly my cup of tea. Reminds me of that John Grant song about Sigourney Weaver. Except this is about Billy Joel, so it’s instantly ten times better. So many good lines. Obviously, I love ‘touched his bum’, ‘treat me like your piano’, and the Italian restaurant reference. But it’s all brilliant basically. My earliest life memory (at about 3 year’s old) is being allowed to stay up past bedtime for a Billy Joel concert that was being televised. So yes I love this song, and much love and thanks to @philnorman for tagging me 👍

I wish you could see the smile on my face. Something like this 😂 but i'm not quite as yellow and my tears of joy aren't as comically large. Comically large like this song. I'm not deep enough in his catalog to know if I missed anything, but the Stranger reference in the chorus is perfect, as is the less subtle Italian restaurant.

If only the robot pianist knew to play it a little less Bruce Hornsby and more Billy.

I've been trying to figure out what I've been missing this FAWM for the longest time, and it's singing about Billy Joel.

"Treat me like your piano" made me feel... I don't know what, but it was definitely enough of something that I can no longer claim to be an innocent man.
