Just Say
by @rshakesp
Liner Notes
The 13th song in my sequence '12 short nonsense songs about love'. This is about the awe that one partner finds in the servitude of another towards them.
Lyrics
You made a man of me You took me and formed me From clay into steel
You can’t be mad at me Despite all my failings You keep it all real
So if you want a thing You want anything Just say
Oh I love you Yes I love you To the ends of the earth
You made my life complete You proved there was beauty In this world of pain

You can't go wrong with acoustic guitar and piano. The doubled voices are great! I really love that folky feeling. The delay on "I love you" is a cool touch! Very appealing!
Thank you for listening to the collab I did with @javakat343 and leaving a nice comment!
"You took me and formed me from clay to steel". That's love! Nothing nonsensical about that. Wonderful truth buried within here. Thanks for sharing this with us #tit4tat
This has a real 70s folk-rock vibe that I am totally into. Those harmonies are stunning. The “I love you” section is particularly powerful. Love this!
Oh I am a sucker for those harmonies! I enjoy the lyrical imagery of forming you from clay to steel, not a typical cliched metaphor. The "I love you" section is my favorite, I'm not sure what I'm hearing vocally but it's almost like a counter melody, and it has a really neat effect on the ears. #tit4tat
I love the idea of “12 short nonsense songs about love.” And this one isn’t nonsense, tbh! The harmonies are lovely, and the jangly guitar is great. Then the overlapping vocals come in! Great effect. Nice job. #tit4tat
Great 1960s vibe with the harmonies and instrumentation. Nice one!
This has a really nice melody and vibe! The vocal harmonies give it a nice touch. I really like the lyrics as well. Simple and to the point. What more do you need for a love song? Great job!
