This is a quick little #political #protest number. I've somewhat under the weather, and have lost some of whatever little singing voice I have, (and don't have a huge amount of energy anyway) so this little iPhone recording will have to do for now. Added some reverb and echo to give it that 'long cool woman in a black dress' vibe (those of you who remember the early 70's will know what im talking about). Anyway, this kind of wrote itself...and hopefully it'll resonate for some. (for others, if it doesn't, just let it pass, or write yer own song! I dont want to discuss and argue political details here!)

I keep telling younger people that what Nixon did was child's play compared to today's corruption. Never seen anything so bad in my lifetime - just so they don't come to think this is normal, or the new normal.

That last stanza - ooooo.

Love this riff and the lyrics are GREAT. That reminds me, I have some political lyrics that need to get music and be posted. Anyway! The names you've given everyone are great. Are you gonna post this anywhere publicly? I wanna play this for my mom but I can't go near here, because covid. 😭

Sometimes all you can do is write a song! I really enjoyed the "pissing on my shoes" line, and with it the "game/tame/rain/drain" near rhyme in the stanza. Keep singin' into that void, sometimes someone hears ya and feels less alone!

Skilful rhyming and appropriate anger. 'Just when you think you've reached bottom, there's another level to go' is completely accurate. Shame, satire, and the limits of evil have all disappeared. Reminds me of the recent The Onion headline (which maybe you saw) : 'Tenth Circle is being added to Hell'.
