I really dig the 5 note falling motif. You kept it interesting and varied while staying within the mood set in the beginning. A lo-fi take on a tried and true nursery rhyme! Get this into a nursery STAT! Great job :)

I like how gentle this is! Takes me back to the indie-tronica of the late 2000s- early 10s. I'm curious, is this all in a DAW? Cool, still wonderous, take on twinkle twinkle. I love the rhytm section, great bass! #tit4tat

I dig this composition! You really did capture the 'sound' of 'twinkle'! I can offer some thoughts on developing a consistent mix. I hope it's helpful.

@russkeys makes a good point of checking your mix on multiple different speakers before release, because I'm listening on little desktop monitors that only have 3" woofers, and the bass doesn't feel overwhelming to me, but my speakers are likely not able to produce most of the low frequencies in this track.

In the past I've played my mixes through multiple different diverse sound sources (car stereo, home studio monitor, tv's soundbar, pixel buds, over-ear headphones, hell, the speaker on your phone, etc) and I make mix notes for each. The trick is to not try to perfect the mix when played through each device, but to 'nudge' the mix in whatever direction you're hearing when you listen through that device. After a few rounds of that, I think you can end up with a mix that is a happy medium and sounds pretty decent on all devices.

If that sounds like a lot of work, it is. The pros build multi-million dollar sound studios and have access to crazy expensive speakers positioned perfectly in acoustically treated rooms. Even with all that investment, it still takes years for them to develop a familiarity with their setup good enough that they can mix from only that one location and have a mix that sounds decent through every system.

Another good trick is to have a 'reference track'. Find another song that you really like the mixing/mastering of, and do A/B comparisons between your song and your reference track. Tonal differences should jump out pretty clearly. If they don't, your mix might be closer to completed than you though!

Nice twist to the twinkle theme. It's still vaguely recognizable but not too obvious. On my speakers the bass is overwhelming the other sounds, maybe check you mixes with a different set of speakers. It makes the bass the foreground and everything else sound like it's further away.

Better production than I could do. I hear lyrics that revolve around a space-time continuum buildup to a lost love murder story. (Whatever that is)
