That last one might be a little more entertaining if you were a football fan and/or familiar with the great song about Irish immigrants I stole it from, which is called "Mick Ryan's Lament" by Tim O'Brien, itself possibly borrowing heavily from "Arthur McBride".

Hi, Deirdre, and thank you. I'll admit that my part in Edwin's collaboration was minimal: mostly, I was in the room where it happened! Still, five is my personal best. No demos to listen too, though; February was too hectic for that. I'll try and croak some of them in the next few circles, though.

Hi Deirdre, thanks for commenting on Snowman Action. It was a bit of a labour to get it all done (pun not intended, but I'll roll with it), and the whole thing became quite conceptually contrived. So the "cold promises" line was SUPPOSED to reflect firm commitments from management, but also since they're all snowmen still striking in July, it's the absolute best thing they can think of. Like I say - contrived. This is one of those songs you work on for ages and then have to not listen to for a while to enable you to have any kind of perspective about it. Thanks again for your thoughts.
