Such A Happy Customer

Lyrics

Time is a mess of circumstance Be sure You don’t let it get to you And I raised my hands In armistice Be sure You don’t let it get to you

Peace Peace is resting up I for one Am such a happy customer

And you can call Whenever there’s uncertainty The type that got the best of me You can call But know When you are calling Know that you are calling

I’m in repose atop every word Be sure You don’t let it get to you My tongue is rusted through from honest work Be sure You don’t let it get to you

Rain Isn’t letting up But I for one Am such a happy customer

And you can call Whenever things get typical Anything you’ve seen before You can call But know Know that you are calling Me

Soundcloud is pushing you, and the algorithm’s right. I like the way your watery vibrato gives that feel of a name called across a distance. That notion of the rusted through tongue caught my attention. Felt like it touched on the ways that we’ve learned to communicate at work and in the world can be too caustic im intimate relationships at home.

I like the gentle dance of the piano motif. I really like the shift at the refrain. I really appreciate the journey of your vocals -- they're soft and persistent. It's really cool to hear the song develop.

I love how the melody and timbre of your voice works with keys and pad sound in the background. Perfect mood!

"be sure you don't let it get to you" reading as a warning rather than the usual "don't worry about it", with the incredibly melancholic keys...gonna lie in the corner for a bit. (likewise for "anything you've seen before you can call..." and, well, a lot of it. good words.)
