Children of the Dying
Liner Notes
That's a song I made back in December. Since I am not capable of contributing as much new songs as I wanted this February, I am posting it anyway. It's a bit rough as it was recorded with a dying microphone, which kind of makes sense. But I can't sing anyway, so here we go.
Lyrics
Children of the Dying
the ones who made me just right before they disappeared behind the door all I've ever learned was how to be like them I was told to be the one to serve the world to know it all and save their selves to have all the answers but this is not the way it turned out now
we're the children of the dying what makes us feel alive today it makes us feel like crying but it makes us self-complying either way
and I'm afraid...
seasons come and some seasons go there's no meaning in the leaves when they fall too civilized to fail it's all too long ago to remember they'd been here before but they never learned there's only fire in return and they had no answers this is now the way it turned out
we're the children of the dying what makes us feel alive today it makes us feel like crying but it makes us self-complying either way
I'm afraid I just lost my mind I'm afraid being like my kind come on I don't know let me explore
we're the children of the dying what makes us feel alive today it makes us feel like crying
I can't decide if this song is more at home in the 70s or the 90s. I think Ozzy would be a great match with this song but it would be at home with Pink Floyd too. Love the song.
