Hannah says: Spent time on the last afternoon of this month doing one more 2-hour writing session with my friend @kebley. This time we used one of his starters and finished up this version of the song by the time we both had to leave for our next thing. :) Don'tcha love speed writing? On this iPhone voice memo recording we made, Kyle is playing piano and singing lead, and I'm singing some light harmonies to complement.
Lyrics
I’m a chameleon I can be whatever you need Should I talk while you listen Or would you prefer to speak I can help you count your blessings I can wallow in your grief I can truly be most anything Anything but me
I’m on my way To help you feel yourself Another moment on the shelf Is fine by me Yes I’m on my way To this old familiar place Another moment in your good grace Is all I’ll ever need
I’m a chameleon Don’t you feel so understood Just to have someone who knows you More than you thought someone could I can focus on your troubles I can help you see the good I can truly be most anything Anything I should
Still I’m on my way To help you feel yourself Another moment on the shelf Is fine by me Yes I’m on my way To this old familiar place Another moment in your good grace Is all I’ll ever need
I need to feel your arms around me And yet I won’t let you close I’ve always kept this armor on me I long to let you know But I can’t let it go
I’m on my way To help you feel yourself Another moment on the shelf Is fine by me Yes I’m on my way To this old familiar place Another moment in your good grace Is all I’ll ever need

What a speed writing session. I love the title and premise of this song. A heartwarming song. Glorious...
These lyrics are so heartwarming, picturing the person who will lean into any moment with a beloved fellow human. Cool lil chord twist at “grace” Vocals are fantastic 💚
Aw man. If you release this, let me know and I'll buy it - what great quality for recording on an iPhone. Brought a tear to this old curmudgeon's eye. That chord change at 'good grace...' but just so much about it, the lyric, the melody, the vocal performance, the BVs. Thank you so much for uploading this. I'm going through a tough time at the moment and this was balm for the soul.
Beautiful playing, singing and lyrics. I could hear it with orchestration but this iPhone recording is so good and powerful as is, that it is all I really need.
