Unfinished

Liner Notes
And one bonus song. An unfinished song, appropriately enough. Unfinished, like all of us. I think I'll write the melody in another place, far away, once I am done leaving and I have arrived.
Lyrics
Unfinished Jemma Kline
There’s a forest that a princess Has to enter Late at night. There’s a question Yet unanswered; There’s a letter You must write. But she hasn’t taken that first step upon the road, And the first words that you’ll pen are yet unknown.
They are unfinished, Suspended there, With their future like a promise in the air. We are all unfinished; Our lifetime curse: We will never get to read our final verse.
There’s a vessel That is sailing, Swift and deadly, On the waves. There’s an army, Bright and mighty, That is marching To their graves.
They are unfinished, Suspended there, With their future like a promise in the air. We are all unfinished; Our lifetime curse: We will never get to read our final verse.
Walk the pathway, though it’s narrow. Write the answer, though it stings. Climb the rigging, change direction, Tell the soldiers there are no kings.
They are unfinished, Suspended there, With their future like a promise in the air. We are all unfinished; Our lifetime curse: We will never get to read our final verse.
They are unfinished, Suspended there.

@andrea I have to. But I also hope that will let me finish my own story, in my own way, and that is a powerful thought.
"We will never get to read our final verse" is a sad, yet beautiful way to put it, and all those characters in the middle of their action illustrate it well.
The word I pen is 'stay". Please don't leave.
A deep meditation on humanity and mortality
I especially like these lines "We are all unfinished; Our lifetime curse: We will never get to read our final verse.'
