Happy to be back for another year.

I'm looking forward to writing, enjoying everyone's creations and collaborating.

I am a lyricist. I most often write lyrics first but enjoy writing to existing music too. I write in a variety of styles, and I am always trying new ideas.

Hit me up if you would like to collaborate :)

@saulius

Thanks for being here, and for listening to my songs.

Andrea, I'm so glad you liked I Want to Be A Song, with @dreamscuba and @kerriwinter. It always makes me happy when I hear it. I was trying to encapsulate how so many of us feel about the power of music. Thank you for your comment.

@nadine

Thanks a lot for listening some more! I'm positive that we will finish "Fading Light" in a few weeks, and so happy you also enjoyed "Weightless Epiphany"!

@nadine

Thank you so much for listening, Andrea! We're still in midst of recording. Hope to give another update during FAWM but I wanted to make sure that @loveonamixtape work is appreciated. Glad you did!

[avatar]

Thank you kindly for words of encouragement, and great FAWMing by you this year!

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea, I like the name of your real-life vinyl shop, Darkside Records. That's exactly the kind of place I had in mind for Vintage Vinyl, my first multi-collab project this FAWM. Thanks for your comments on @almask17's version. Glad you enjoyed it. 😀

[avatar]

Andrea, I'm always grateful when I see your name on my comment page. Thanks for the time you took to listen to BOTH parts 1 and 2 (!) of Where Did You Go, my collab with @vince_link . 😀 I liked your description of "sad, but with attitude." That's how I imagined it, too. This was the first time he and I had worked together, and it was a very good experience.

@cbmagic

Thank you, I appreciate you kind words.

[avatar]

Hi Andrea, go for it! I’d love hear what you come up with.

[avatar]

Sounds great, Andrea!! Katestantonsing no “s” 😊🎶

@mikeb

Thanks for the comment on 'Never Done Anything'! My plan is to release the double CD of the rock opera next year. A stage production? In my dreams!

[avatar]

Thank you so much for your kind comments, Andrea!! I am behind on my current collabs (busy work week) :) Feel free to email me after FAWM if you haven't found a singer katestantonsing at gmail.

@cts

What the...?!? I blink and you've got way more than I had recalled. Aces for you!

[avatar]

Hey! You’ve dropped a comment on several songs this year. I really appreciate you taking the time. I’ve been completely slammed this year with work, probably should have skipped FAWM, honestly. Haven’t been able to engage nearly enough. Thanks again!

@hbusse

Andrea- wow, thanks so much for posting about Sing Hallelujah on the recommendations thread! So glad you liked it that much ❤️

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea for your generous comments on "Sitting Here at Midnight". Paul did a great job on that little poem

[avatar]

Hi Andrea, thx for the listen and comments! I haven't had the time for much participation this month, but hope to get some more listening in , in these last few days. Congrats on a productive February. Your lyrics keep getting better and better!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you so much! I will catch up on listening and reading when my stress level is a bit lower...

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea! You are such a positive force! Thanks for your enthusiasm for Our Own Private Love Song, my first collab with @blainev83. He was great to work with and I hope we can do that again. Glad you enjoyed it.

And also, I was happy to read your insightful comments on Theodore, with @davidtaro. He is SO talented and versatile that I had every confidence he could deliver on this story of this "misfit with a heart." I'm glad you appreciated the song!

You also took the time to listen and comment on No Present Like The Time, a colllab with @gwynjones. He’s such a versatile and multitalented musician and singer. I knew he would do an excellent job on this and I’m so glad he accepted the invitation. I think I owe you big time for all the comments! Thanks!

@dgiarrap

Hey Andrea, thanks for the shout. I probably won't post any songs as I'm just looking around more than anything and giving support to the folks I know that have posted songs. Good to hear from you.

[avatar]

Thank you!!! So appreciate your comments...They always feel so sincere and meaningful.

[avatar]
@cathreu

Thanks for the kind words on the collab! We had alot of fun exploring that style!

[avatar]
@val

Hello hello. Thanks for the comment!

[avatar]

Thanks Andrea. It was fun to write

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you so much for listening, reading and commenting! It makesy heart happy that you enjoyed my lyrics cause I respect your work a lot!

I had to take a break for a day or two cause migraine hit me quite bad. Hope I'm better tomorrow.

[avatar]

OK, I know Im hogging all the space on your Soundboard! But I waned to say Thanks for your comments on One Last Shot At Redemption, my collab with @bethkille. I’m with you on the Chorus. I keep humming it in my head! I especially like what Beth did with the Out, too. What a talent! Thanks for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed the song.

[avatar]

Andrea, Thanks so much for your comments on Almost Feels Like Love, my joint collab with @musend and @hbusse. It went together very smoothly, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the results!

[avatar]
@cts

Hi - thought I'd drop by to check in on you to see how you were doing. Hope all is well.

[avatar]

It would be fun to meet up sometime when you are up this way. I'd look forward to that. I have dropped in on Justin, which was great fun.

[avatar]
@phylo

Thank you for your nice comment on our collab. That was a fun one!

[avatar]

It would be great to meet up someday. I’m in Hanover, which is near White River Jct in VT. I’m a mile or so from the VT border.

[avatar]

Sorry you've been having a stressful week. I love your writing and am always happy to read and comment, or listen and comment. I'm having a bit a stressful period as well, hence my short little instrumentals. Doing what I can...

[avatar]

And now I'm back to thank you again for your response to @sheslin's and my collab on A Man I Don't Know. Yes, those musicians! 😀 They do have a way. (Thank goodness!) I'm glad you enjoyed it. @sheslin is a dream to "work" with. We had a lot of fun.

[avatar]

Andrea! What a great comment on Winds of Indifference! I feel exactly the same way about how @housewystan totally nailed it! I'm so happy with how this turned out, and I feel very fortunate that she was willing to work with me. Thank you for your support!

@kc_

@andrea hope your Super Bowl party wasn’t canceled :-)

Plenty of time left for writing!

I’ve lucked out on a couple of lyrics just appearing from the ether :-)

@gm7

Thx..spin in your chair..I do to...lol

@cbmagic

Hi Andrea, its great to see you here again. Thank you for your kind words I am glad you like the song.

[avatar]

Hi, Andrea! Yes, Gwyn doing POP, and having fun with it. He's so versatile,--pop, rockabilly, country, you-name-it, he can do it. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment on Love Isn't Any Fun. I was really happy with what he did.

[avatar]
@nadine

I mailed you something quick. Good night 😴

[avatar]
@nadine

... and thanks for your comment! I also look forward to "Coming Home". I have no idea what the lyrics will be about. So curious!

[avatar]
@nadine

Sure, I'm confident with you! You're a talented lyricist and we both enjoy the dark and rocking side of music. I've updated "Aware" and keep you updated about vocalists. Please let me know when you have lyrics so I could add you as collab. Thank you so much!

[avatar]
@nadine

Yes, I noticed this too! Seems like we have to get used to the feed distinguishing between song comments and profile mentions. OK - I will save "Aware" for you and hope to find a vocalist who picks up your lyrics! I'm sure it will be great stuff!

I decided against Distrokid because they couldn't offer an affordable price for my complex collab situation. There has only been ONE company that could, so I'm tied to them... otherwise my whole plan fails :( Happy to talk details via mail.

[avatar]
@nadine

Hey Andrea! Have you decided if you write lyrics for "Aware"? Just asking cause I may update my song info and save that one for you so we don't end up with two lyrics.

[avatar]

Andrea - of course. Absolutely no pressure. It’s fun to practice singing along with other people’s lyrics. I know you’ll have lots of people eager to set yours.

[avatar]
@kc_

Hi Andrea, You're cranking!! Thanks for stopping by to read Honey Turtle - Always appreciate your time in input! Yes... naughty... it just went in that direction LoL ... Everybody has their own interpretation... including me! LoL!! :-)

[avatar]

Thanks for the comment on rare collection of EV's and thanks for sharing. Back in 2018 when we switched, it did take my wife a little longer to adapt to EV driving than it did for me. The ability to charge at home was a game changer for us!

@nadine

As for ASCAP etc.... I'm still indecisive cause my recent news were not good. I am not able to join the American system because of their payment system and its also a legal risk for me as US rights are very different.

Joining the German counterpart means annual fees, fees for CD pressing, fees for live shows (which I dont do anyway) etc. And would mean 3 forms for each song PLUS each collaborator filling out their 2-3 forms with the same metadata. Most radio stations I work with don't hand in their lists, so I'd basically pay for nothing. The only plus would be eligibility for sync (which would be tough due to many colllabs) and very few cents from streaming (where I'm not making any money at all).

That said I'm torn between waiting with all the registering until I make enough to break even - accepting going into minus for years - or forgetting about that part completely.

Ah and, I think it's fair only to register works where all people are part of that system or gave their explicit concent to waive the rights and money cause changing entries is very hard!

[avatar]
@nadine

Hey Andrea, thanks for your comment on "Aware". Of course I would be interested in your lyrics you're a great writer! Unfortunately I haven't received any request on vocals, and some people see it as an instrumental (which I definitely don't!). Do you think we would have a better chance writing lyrics first and searching for a vocalist? If yes - go for it!

[avatar]
@mikeb

Thanks for the listens and comments on my (2-for-1) rock opera songs - yes, you heard that 2 is musically the same as 1!

[avatar]

Hey Andrea! Thanks so much for your kind words on “Seventeen Again”! @greengrassgirl lyrics are spot on for this old man! Hahaha! I am now a follower and I will be checking out your lyrics! Blessings!
