another hungry mouth
Liner Notes
I've spent today trying to finished off half finished/baked ideas but I wanted to write one more new one before close of play.
This is definitely one that I'll come back to. I'd like to write some proper lyrics (instead of the first thing that came into my head) AND write a proper guitar part for the end (instead of the mindless pentatonic noodling that's there at the moment).

Don't underestimate the first lyrics that pop into your head. These sound great and one shouldn't overtaking these things. There's been a bit of theme this year for you doing styles I wouldn't usually expect and this falls into that category, but I'm glad you did. It's got a kind of dusky desert atmosphere to it, like Josh Homme playing with Khruangbin.
Fuzzy vocal sounds great - I love how the fuzz kicks in on certain lines where you're crossing a volume threshold or hitting certain notes or something. Excellent psych-riffing too. Guitars definitely sound more purposeful than just noodling!
this reminds me of being at the avalon ballroom in san francisco in 1967. a sound that still haunts me and my music (whenever i get my hands on an electric guitar) the song suggests what it might have sounded like if jim morrison had sung with the quicksilver messenger service rather than the doors.
