#ukraine #zelensky #uke #ukulele This is dedicated to the very brave leader of Ukraine, Vladimr Zelensky, who has been bravely standing up to Putin's aggresion and invasion for years now. Earlier today (Feb 28th) he was basically ambushed by the tag team of the president and vp of the US, who can't wait to throw Ukraine under the bus to please Putin, apparently. Anyway, a quick little uke song about that..... quick iPhone recording, and my voice is a bit shot, but it'll have to do-- probably my last song for fawm 2025.

Bravery you can't stage manage or manufacture with public relations some leaders are born to follow others to man battle stations
its hard to stay independant hard to live and stay free when the odds are against you just think of Zelensky

Mega!! i tried to do a few protesty type songs this FAWM but none are are direct and hammer home the message as clearly to those baffoons in the white house. And i adore the almost juxtaposed upbeat happy feel to all the music. Brilliant delivery

I agree with everyone saying this is a great tribute. It’s a catchy song that draws you in, and I just love the line “When the odds are against you, just think of Zelensky.”

Thank you Mike, this a great tribute. The appalling behaviour of your "leaders" all for a media bite and the courage and dignity in the face of it. What a contrast. Great song.

Great song Mike, I'm happy to hear that many in the USA are seeing this farcical and embarrassing spectacle as something that bring shame on both Trump and Vance. Zelenskyy is an example of courage in dignity.

Thanks for making a song about this one, SO TRUE, and just another unbelievable, outrageous event in the process of making America Great Again. Not an easy name to rhyme or even sing and you did a stellar job. Tree/Zelensky - brilliant!

I can totally picture this dance, something very courtly that you might have seen at Versailles. This is catchy and cutting. I really thought nothing could shock me...but, alas.
