#acousticrock #acousticonetake #poisonerchallenge The challenge was to write a song about a poisonous plant. I went to my own experience with almonds, and also mixed in my experience with abusive relationships, which can be toxic in almost the same way.

Wow, I had no idea almonds contained cyanide! I've eaten a lot of them in my lifetime... maybe that's what's been messing with me! Haha. Thanks for today's eye-opening lesson! I’ll leave with the reminder that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger... but... hmm... maybe I'll be a little more cautious next time! 😅 Great work on the poisonous plant challenge!

Oh this has some really nice chords that give the song an unsettling vibe. Which suits the subject matter perfectly. Love the one part in a million verse and the last two lines of the chorus are killer (pun intended).

Hell yeah I really vibed to this!!! Loving it keep it up! Simple yet very very effective. Something about it spoke to me. I listened to it a few times. I love the line "Killing you slowly like almonds" because I had to think about what you were trying to say. I came away with some opinions of my own about that line. Love it!!!!

I can’t believe I found this song when I was eating a bag of trail mix (with almonds!!!!) hahaha. Anyway, I love this. Loved that twist on poison being almonds, something personal for you that maybe only some can relate to, but others can relate to all the other feelings you’re conveying. Really great descending chord progression too!

The unexpected turn of "Killing you slowly / Like almonds" is a real attention grabber. Great lyrics!

Yay! A poisoner song, hehehe. Love the jangle you've got going on in the guitar. So many fun turns of phrase and rhymes, I especially like the 'one part per million' lines. Very dark, heavy melody that contrasts with the guitar. I hear the warning! No unblanched almonds!

This has a better musical feel than some of your others. The vocal treatment suits the tale you’re telling, and the guitar ornaments it nicely.
