- Nashville, TN
Hi
My names Janele Arlene. I’m a singer-songwriter in Nashville, TN. I write Americana music and I’m inspired by a lot of 60’s and 70’s music in all the rock, folk revival, blues, and R&B genres. This is my second year as a part of the FAWM community, and I’m really excited to get this creativity flowing and to be inspired by all of you!!!

Thanks for being here. I think you have important things to say, and a beautiful instrument with which to express your messages, melodies, angsts and compassions. I hope we can keep in touch during the year. Marie (@javakat343) is still in a songwriting frenzy. I'll help her out with some of her acoustic songs, although I can't help much with the electronic ones. Anyway, I hope to so some open mics and showcases this year.
Thanks for the comment, much appreciated!
Hi Janelle, thanks for the heartfelt comment re To Be Sad. That's all Marie i.e. @javakat343. She and I are rock climbing buddies. I told her what I was doing with FAWM and she finally joined mid-month.
I've been thinking about how you two would sound as a duet. You both have such incredible voices. Again, I don't mean to detract from your songwriting talents and accomplishments. I'm just amazed by and thankful for your talents and the art you produce.
Just in case you want to correspond, here's my email: [email protected].
I really really hope you break through. The world needs your songs and your voice.
Hi Janelle. Thanks for being here. You have one of the best voices. You convey the spirit, the soul of your songs. It was a privilege to meet you here and to experience your art and your heart.
Thank you for listening to my song and the kind words. I like your songwriting style. Looks like you had a great FAWM, too.
Thrilled that you liked Wraith in the Mirror! I used to do a lot more acoustic tracks, so it was nice to just sit with a guitar and mic without worrying about mixing and production. It's also one of my favorite lyrics (although my last three songs on here are making me re-evaluate a little lol) so the fact that you enjoyed the nuance is very exciting. Especially given your writing style/skill. Thanks! Hope to see you during the summer 50/90 challenge!
Where can I find more of your songs (I don't do social media.) Do you have a SoundCloud or YouTube account? I'd like to listen some more, or be able to download some of your songs for inspiration. Maybe we could collab sometime?
Janele, thank you for your thoughtful comments on the lyrics to Vintage Vinyl. I'm so glad you could relate, and I'm impressed that you have such a large vinyl collection. I, too, love the music of the 60's and 70's. There's something very special about it. Since you commented, there have been 3 different versions created, if you want to take a look. Now, I want to do some more exploring on your page.
Hey thanks for the comment! Yeah all Improvised
I think unknownbecky is still from there as well..
Janele Arlene, you are a great songwriter! Believe it!
btw, I am so happy that you picked up on the "hear her" and the "watch/see her" on Bird In a Starless Sky. I was hoping someone would appreciate that one. 😀
Thanks for your listen and comment on my song, "Medicinal Porpoises."
Making the listener laugh was my goal, so you've put a big smile on my face.
@williamjames thank you so much 🫠 I’m melting!! Haha that means so much to me! I’m never happy about how I sound on just a phone but I’m really no engineer, so it has to work for now haha. Love the production in all of your videos. Wish I had that kind of talent for sure!
I honestly marvel at how good you sound through just a phone!
Hi! Thank you for the comment on my boquet song. That was very nice to hear. I love all the old stuff. 😎
Thanks for being my very first comment of my 2025 challenge even before I recorded my first song! I've added the audio to "What Do We Do". Hope you have a chance to check it out. Best efforts with the challenge this month, Janele!
Thanks for your lovely comments on Consolation of the Night Sky. Glad you liked it.
Thanks for the listen and comments on 'Lovely Day'
Greetings Janelle! Excited to see Nashvillains represented at FAWM ... looking forward to hearing more from you :)
I've arrived at your page VERY late. I'm going to add you to my watch list. Congrats for the win!
