Hear the Ghosts Go Home (looking for specific feedback)

Liner Notes
would love specific feedback on whether i should make verse2 have different lyrics like a normal song, OR should i keep the verse lyrics the same each time and change up the lyrics to the chorus each time?
i think the lyrics on V1 are stronger than my chorus lyrics so thats why i'm debating it. thanks for feedback!
Lyrics
capo on 3
VERSE 1: (C) Oh I've lived (Am) long enough to (F) hear the ghosts go (G) home They (F) ask me if I'll (G) come along to (Am) see where death (C) begins
CHORUS: (F) Floatin' around the (C) universe (F) tryin' to find our (G) way to (F) feel like something (C) matters (D) Doesn't that sound (G) great?
VERSE 2 (?? currently just a repeat of verse1)
BRIDGE: (G) Ghost, go (Am) home (F) Leave me where I'll (C) be (G) alone, all (Am) alone to (F) suffer (C) eternally
CHORUS (same lyrics as before? or different?)
Comments
Very pretty tune. I think you could go either way with repeating the lyric or not. Or split the difference and mostly repeat the words but add a few tiny changes!
Either way honestly. The bridge breaks it up so it's not just repeating half a song twice. I do like the previous comments too though. Switching the chorus.
I ran outta time in my first two farms and would just repeat half a song twice with a little bridge part and I think sometimes that's just fine. SWEET little tune. Spooky and sweet. Reminds me of rosenstocks "when you're a ghost" thematically anyway. Good job.
Very cool idea, and I also like the idea of changing the chorus each time while leaving the verse as is.
I love the idea of keeping the lyric the same in the verse and changing it in the chorus!
I love the chord progression on the verse, and how it is a bit circular, with the last line reversing the first.
My intuition is to go the traditional route. Keep the same chorus, and write new lyrics for a second verse. I like the chorus words a lot.
