Where I Am

Liner Notes

Starting off this year with my favorite topic: "Wherever you go, there you are"

Lyrics

people streaming by spilled in every direction I'm standing frozen, lost wondering where to start

and I'm caught

I'm in the space between where I was and where I'm going I'm in the space between always ending up where I am

I thought I knew then what was best for me so I headed out in the wrong direction now I think I've gone too far

and I'm caught

I'm in the space between where I was and where I'm going I'm in the space between always ending up where I am

Sometimes standing still I can see I'm where I need to be and I breathe

I'm in the space between where I was and where I'm going I'm in the space between always ending up where I am

This lyric makes me wish I could do a little interview for radio or something and ask you all about it. Lovely gentle guitar and vocal.

Nice. Good gentle melody and the hooky 'I'm caught' line. I like the idea of the present being a place where we are caught. Very Zen.

I really like your vocal quality here. It's smooth and welcoming, warm and emotive. The picking is lovely, too, and I like when it slows and pauses a bit. That liminal space is a great place to write about/from. Very nice write.

@jakegiles

I love the guitar picking on this! the title in the refrain has a nice melodic hook, too.
