Thanks to @paulhenry for doing his Hank Williams in Hell song (it's awesome, go check it out.) As a result I couldn't resist giving it a go.

Lyrics
I don't want to be at this wedding Watching as you walk down the aisle It's easy to see what you think of me Forgotten after a while
I don't want to be in the picture You'll forget once you put it away I don't want to be just a memory Forgotten in a day
So let me thank you for the invitation Thankyou for finally thinking of me I wish I could show you my appreciation For giving me another broken memory
I don't want to stand in the corner Jealous of every single passing smile Please don't look at me because I think you'll see A lonely man in denial
So let me thank you for the invitation Thankyou for finally thinking of me I wish I could show you my appreciation For giving me another broken memory

Oh yeah, this is definitely Hank. Nice job. You know, it could use a banjo.....
Good write nicely delivered lot's of sugar with just the right amount of acid.
This song captures a feeling so many people experience. It's silent sarcasm, showing up even when you don't want to.
Nice lyrics! They really capture the feeling well. "For giving me another broken memory" is a great line.
Brilliant. Love the guitar walkups, the theme, and the take on the hankwilliamsinhell challenge (by far my favorite challenge name). Great track!
Beautiful! Nice guitar work and vocals. What a great idea for a song! Imagery-rich writing. I was there every step down the aisle.
this had me dancing in my seat while listening - really catchy melody - very enjoyable to listen to, plus a nice story-line to follow. great song!
dunno why I don't think I'd ever have thought to rhyme 'smile' and 'denial' but there ya go.
nicely done. the imagery is very country, and the lyric feels simple and obvious, but looking back, it ain't so simple.
this hillbilly approves.
I enjoy doing these since @ductape put up all the progressions a few fawms ago. This has that classic feel that those progressions give, but it has a fresh sound as well. Nice song.m
Very Cool tune! Your guitar sounds beautiful!
great “good old fashioned 3 chords and the truth” country tune! great story telling. the real deal.
Now I see this is actually a challenge. I had seen that tag popping up and wasn't sure what it was for. ( I should have known being here so long). I enjoyed it!
Really nice vocal on this, T.C. The song is definitely aligned with the challenge...hurt but not whiney. Tasty guitar work as well.
