Change is inevitable - it's how you deal with it that counts.
Working for the past year on #theatrical and #musical theatre themes has expanded my default mode for a #skirmish under time pressure. I came back from a walk with about 20 minutes left on this challenge, and somehow a #waltz came out. I posted the first draft, but it took a bit longer to post a #personwithpiano #theatrical demo. Thanks @robinleaf for the prompt.

Constantly Changing (I still have you)
Verse 1: Took a long walk today It's my favorite way to stay sane - what's yours? Too many changes in too short a span Are we stuck on a train? A runaway train?
V2: The jet stream’s descended far to the South Thunderhead clouds are aloft Busy and dizzy from spinning too fast Are we moving too fast to ever step off?

“Turn off the screens manufacturing dreams I need to see - see for myself “ I applauded this aloud. Then that last verse just sealed the whole deal. I could really see this as one of those “key moment” songs in a musical where the protagonist pours their heart out and then things either start to improve or go to hell in a handcart.

Thanks for the kind words, especially @berni1954. I've been channelling my inner Rogers and Hammerstein after spending the last 18 months writing and scoring a musical. And I'm beginning to think in visual terms and how the music might be performed out of my rock-and-roll comfort zone.
