I Saw That Picture Of You On The Wall

#Jealosy I had a fragment of this song for a while. This is an absolutely true confession that I'm very ashamed of. I finally figured out what was missing in the lyric, and it was exactly that - my confession.
Tonight I did some noodling in Logic on my Midi controller and I just added a vocal as a test. It sounds pretty creepy.
Lyrics
Visqueen Queen Pretends she’s posing for a magazine She’s fifty-five going on seventeen Laying on the studio floor
Long hair drips Unto her shoulders while the camera clicks Body shivers as her wet gown sticks This time she’ll show a little more
Refrain (2x) The look in your eyes cannot disguise The shadows you hide from the sun's glow Lonely shy girl Life passing by her Spying from edges of her window
Shoot's all done 2 am she picks the hottest one Posts it on her page on Match.com Perhaps this time her prince will call
Visqueen Queen Plastic reflections throw a rainbow sheen Looks like she's in a pool of gasoline Waiting for her match to come
Refrain "Hi, no... there's nothing wrong ... we've been over so long... It's just sometimes I stumble and fall And when I went to your flat... To take care of your cat... I saw that picture of you on the wall"

This could be a sequel to Donovans' Young Girl Blues." I love the piano and your vocals. You make the portrait of this poor girl vivid and real.
Full of plangent sadness and fear of being lost, discarded, blown away like dust. And the desperation and hopeless hope and frenzy fakery. The 2am and gasoline/match are gr re at touches. EDIT hellsbells, this is super creepy with the music. Serious cabaret late night vibe. The minimalist piano is just right, nothing more needed. A seriously good lyric turns into a seriously good song, (good being good not "good", geez, enough with the semantics ). Wish I'd written this.
Liking the harmonic change into the refrain section. The general mood you set up in this is really cool, voyeuristic sad and sentimental. I really like the visceral details in the lyrics - really brings it to life. The sparse musical setting is ideal. Really enjoyed.
