Out Of Time
by @siebass
Liner Notes
And ironically, now I am out of time. I signed up for this challenge on the first week of FAWM, wrote the lyrics the next day, set up the structure, have the cadence in my head, but never got back to it, like many this year. Work. Life. Many other reasons. Lo, sorry to disappoint you, my four commenters, but I hope you can at least appreciate my clever Sponge Bob references in verse two.
The song was meant to be arranged in descending time signatures to match this comments. 7/8, 6/8, 5/8, 4/8, 3/8, 2/8, and lastly 1/8. I also thought it would be neat to do a countdown in time sigs 7-6-5-4-3-2-1.
"This song is for the #CommentsFirst challenge (https://write.fawm.org/forums/3025). It doesn't exist yet. It will be written based on the first few comments it receives. Please leave a comment below!"
@cairobraga using a different time signature for each section is so bold and the result is beautiful! kudos!
@kosch Was that a Sponge Bob reference in the second verse?! Wild
@thedutchwidows Starting out in 7/8 is a bold move, but it really works!
@moonraccoon There is an intriguing delicacy to the bridge. Love that key change going into the last verse!

That is an impressive way to work in Spongebob. Kudos on figuring out that structure with all the time signatures, too!
