Play Me Like a Piano

by @alyak72

Skirmish: Ordinary objects into met... (@ally_nicole)

Liner Notes

Obviously not going for subtlety...

Wish I had time to add more structure and better drums. Probably after FAWM I'll revisit.

#bass, #synth, vocals, drum machine #electropop

Lyrics

You used to play me like a piano, baby Your fingers knew just where to touch You brought forth such gorgeous chords from me You could never play in church

Oh, you used to pound me like a piano, baby Your hands pulsing with the beat And without your dancing fingers I feel so incomplete

Favourite line: "Chords...you could never play in church"! Maybe not subtle, but that's not the direction you would want here anyway. You found the perfect tone for this one!

Brilliantly expressed feeling here, I love the way you express these emotive lyrics and the line about church is perfect. This should be a dancefloor classic!

ooh as a pianist, love this way of piano-playing! This had a Johnny-Jewel/Desire feel to it, was definitely bouncing along here.

"You brought forth such gorgeous chords from me You could never play in church 'What a great couplet? πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Short, bit ever so sensual!

Nice metaphor. Reminds me of a TV episode where one character fake plays a piano. The women swoon, look at those sensitive hands.

The line with Pound me like a piano, adds a naughty raw element. Nice.

I'm dancing to this right now XD. This is awesome! I didn't realize how sexy pianos can be!

I think it works with the prompt! I love the drop, I felt faked out following the lyrics like it was ending and then it goes into this fun indie dance thing, great stuff! Love the vocal too, well done.

As a piano player, I can get behind this metaphor. Fun!
