It's Everywhere

Lyrics
It’s like cigarette smoke in a restaurant You can sit in the non-smoking section if you want But it’s everywhere At the swimming pool on a hot summer day Someone pees in the water, sure—swim away But it’s everywhere
It’s everywhere, everywhere Inescapable as the very air You can try to run to here or there But it’s everywhere
Ideas aren’t tied to the physical plane They’re as vast and expansive as the human brain They are everywhere The mind is a bottle and inside is a djinn And once it gets out, it ain’t never going back in Now it’s everywhere
It’s everywhere, everywhere The realization’s tough to bear From the furthest reaches to the village square Yeah it’s everywhere
There’s no option to refuse No escape from the daily news Any way you go, you lose So how in the world do you choose?
Because it’s everywhere, everywhere Money and corruption are quite the pair And you can’t run away from a shadowy scare Because it’s everywhere Yeah it’s everywhere, everywhere Survival depends on a wing and a prayer And it’s too late for the buyers to say beware Because it’s everywhere

nice opening lines for the idea. solid theme and nice vibe... i saw you mention "bassing" on cello in slack so decided to start here when i saw the hashtag.
This is all kinds of super cool. The music is cool, the vocal effects are cool, and the lyrics are both entertaining and hard hitting. Love it!
Are you playing the cello pizzicato? Nailed it with the tune and the social commentary.
My dude! Such truth and power here. Someone pees in the water, sure swim away. Brilliant and simply accurate. I feel this right now. Thank you for the art you make Carley!
Great delivery, pace, and style. Loved it. Clever imagery throughout... bravo! (Although the thought of someone peeing in the pool while drinking my morning coffee nearly made me into a mess.)
Clever! Love the delivery - very (fill in the blank) can't remember her name but she does performance art and she sang about a red dress in a nightclub about the inequality of pay for men vs women. Enjoyed the vintage reverb on the vocals.
This is really cool. I love the vocal harmony / echos. The song is super relatable. Well done.
I love this! It's got a really sweet vibe to it with a hint of irony. Well done!
Dayum! "Money and corruption are quite the pair" - yes. The beat makes me want to dance, the words make me want to weep.
