I think this will probably have to be the last of my "serious" EP submissions. I like this one. The others are a bit more spiteful and douer, I like that this one feels more uplifting while still maintaining that melancholy quality to it.
Kind of just dropped rhyming for this one. Just wanted to let my thoughts flow without limiting myself to word choice.
I INTEND ON MAKING A DEMO

(Verse) Mist swirls around my legs My footsteps reverberate The trees are twisted and gnarled Whispers hang on the wind Paths lead to nowhere My heart fills with fear I've been here forever What if I never get out of here?
(Chorus) When my spirit fails May I borrow yours? When I have no strength left May I borrow yours? When your time is cut short May I lend you mine? Incomplete made complete together Accompanied by ghosts in the mist
(Verse 2) I stumble on a grave Of a witch long gone Her dreams unactualized Her life cut short Her voice still lingers A fragment of her soul Follows me forward

What a beautifully written story. The witch part scared me. (I'm scared of witches:)) But besides that great lyrics!
