The Sarcoptes scabiei (or itch mite) kind of likes to refuge itself in skin the way a person might refuge themselves in walls. (Particularly if they had nothing else to eat and so also ate the wall.)

Personally, I think mites are creepier than spiders when it comes to arachnids, and the backing track sounds nice and itchy.

Oh nooo, not spiders! The granular/glitchy sounds are giving me tingly footsteps vibes. My previous comment about video game music...I'm now imagining an experimental sort of exhibition/museum, with each room named after each track, with the songs looping in each room. I'd pay full whack for that!
