Rat On TV

Liner Notes
Do you ever get a few days off, then totally squander it scrolling? Not this month though, am I right FAWMers?! Anyway, this song is a rage anthem directed at television politicians, and manufactured violence. I went for a #punk #postpunk sound here, tuning the guitars to drop C. Then I went to my friend Darrin's house to play and record his drums.
Lyrics
Eight weeks later
I’m as thick as alligator leather
Eight weeks later
I’m as thick as alligator leather
Though this look on my face is pure disbelief
Quarter back
attack the sack
I watch TV
I didn’t get it done On my vacation I haven’t looked away See his face every day The rat on Rat on TV
Eight weeks down The town’s shut down I watch TV Eight weeks down The Town The Crown I watch TV Though the look on my face Is pure disbelief Quarter back Attack the sack I watch TV
I didn’t get it done On my vacation I haven’t looked away See his face every day The rat on Rat on TV
I will not go for a ride I just stay inside My eyes are burning out I just can’t figure out Why can’t I just have fun On my vacation? I haven’t looked away See his face every day A rat on The rat on A rat on The rat on A rat on Rat on TV!

Oh how I luv these lyrics... so true!! So well described!! The tune is unique and catrchy and the vocals are perfect. the guitar work is excellent!! A pleasure to hear!!
I like the catchy riff, heavy drop-tuned sound, clean guitar sound during the "on vacation" part, & the solo!!
drop C with that overdrive tone is bliss. Very raw and grimy. I love it. Feels like a garage demo 😀 great lyrics, too!
