Ready To Go Out

Lyrics

I wax my hair up until it's sculptural I spray myself with pheromones I iron my shirt until the starch is structural I mew my mouth to show off my jawbone now I'm ready to go out and walk the cobblestones stand in line on my own hoping to revive a hope I have never known I'm ready to go out

From Venom to Vox to Creme de la Creme to a secret spot this can never end until I've collected some novel regrets I'll leave a taste on my tongue for something expensive and when the sun sets behind the mountains I might tell myself don't do this again but when the loneliness closes in I'm ready to go out and walk the cobblestones stand in line on my own hoping to revive a hope I have never known I'm ready to go out

Out here on the frontier of nightlife I'm an early adopter of fashion and strobelights Will you and me be an anchor species We can start all the hottest parties Or at least we can have tonight because I'm ready to go out and walk the cobblestones stand in line on my own hoping to revive a hope I have never known I'm ready to go out

This is simultaneously catchy, sad (for the narrator), and insightful. Great stuff!

Oh hell yeah.. this vibe is hitting the spot. Ever the sonic sculptor, this does not disappoint. Love your rhythmic and understated vocal here amidst the sweet sweet synth. I particularly loved the 2nd verse - you really paint a vivid picture of night life here. Very nice!
