I like the twist in the chorus. It caught me by surprise (despite the title). This certainly describes a twisty road to love. Nice.

These are some cool lyrics. Can see them working well with a bit of country “chugga chugga” guitar… really like the premise for the chorus, it has a nice patter to it too. Hope you find someone to collab and complete it - would be great to hear the finished piece.
