I wrote the first half of this song a long time ago, but I've been dredging up some unfinished lyrics and trying to make complete songs out of them.

Lyrics

I've been watching you a few months now The way you move is got me thinking about love and you're the one for me And I'm not quite lost but somewhere in between life on the road and you and me and I've been mustering up the strength to say something Well it's getting late and I'm breaking down jukebox is blasting out it's final sounds of the night but we keep on dancing.

Chorus Last call last call courage Girl like you comes once upon a dream Last call last call courage I know you are all I ever need

We've been inseparable a few years now Your daddy kind of scares me but I asked him anyhow If I could give you a ring He laughed and he yelled getting here hun Smiled at me instead of course you can son Now we better be the first call when you're back on two feet

Well I bent over but I wasn't fooling you Seeing as I only ever wear cowboy boots My palms were so sweaty I almost dropped the ring I looked into your eyes and nearly fell apart Forgot every word I practiced so I spoke from the heart I just said darling you're my everything

Chorus

Well you're due to pop in a few weeks now And I'm scared to death yeah I'm freaking out That when the time comes I won't be ready But then that little hand squeezed my finger tight And I stared down into my baby girl's eyes Nothing has ever been clearer to me

Loved the bluesy vibe. Sounds very soulful!

The style of this one really takes me back to sitting in the living room with my dad listening to Waylon Jennings on our old console record player. Really clever lyrics, great picking and strumming, great job!

This is storytelling at it's best! So full of honestly and real life. From first crush, to love and marriage and babies. Your fine guitar playing and well seasoned vocals took me to all the right places in my heart. Seriously great song.
