#metal #blackmetal #deathmetal #thrashmetal #mnet After a weekend away from home playing recording engineer for a black metal band, I needed a couple days to rest both my body and my ears. Yesterday, however, I got the creative juices flowing again. The intro riff from this had formed as an idea in my head the night before, but I was too tired and lazy to try to write it down then and there, so this version might not be exactly as I first thought, but it works. Lyrically, there's parallels to be drawn to the current political climate, the movie The Omen and the standard biblical horror imagery is present of course.

love the changes in rhythm for the 'with staff in hand' and then how some it drives on for the next section - really great structure to the whole song. The vocals sound great, and great lines; 'caressed with an iron fist' is a fav.

Brutal, yet again. The riff that starts at the one minute mark strangely sounds like someone with a leg injury fleeing. Don't know why. Just a clunky feel that is highlighted after the double bass part. This year your songs do really do some tricks to my imagination. All the songs seem to come to life because your lyrics and the soundscape.

Good stuff! Love the heavy build up. The change of pace towards the end of the verse (tremolo theme) is really neat, and the chorus is also a great change of pace. The rhythm of the lyrics there is particularly good. Lyrics very fitting, great title.
