@b3nut

Thank you for your kind comments! Dang I just noticed you're a Fawmling....belated welcome and well done!

@kembole

Well I've done enough music and enough of FAWM's to notice that after you publish something it's no more yours. The songs you like the least usually end up being a crowd favourite. It might be a single riff that hooks your audience and it makes up for all that stuff you hate yourself.

@hmorg

Thanks for the comment on "Horn-Crowned"!

@siasa

Thanks again for all your positivity about my music - it's really helped me this year. Re Song 3, I think you have a good point re harmonies. If you're volunteering....!

@emmyhush

Hey, you finished!! Well done! Maybe one day when the kids are grown up I'll manage 14 songs too. As it is I am wondering if I'll be able to squeeze a final one in tonight to make 7! It's in the pipeline...Just wanted to say thanks for all your support and for recommending The Knot to the other FAWMers. Have a lovely year!

@emmyhush

Hey again, thanks for your latest helpful comments. I'll listen back to my second verse when I get a breather and take in what you said!

@nadine

Thank you so much for creating the song around "Beneath The Shell", it totally deserved that blegh-down! I made my initial song private, updated the song info and tagged the people who commended on my lyrics. Have a great evening! I should really get some sleep now!

@emplate

Thank you for the comment on "Got to Go"! Yes, when I saw the lyrics, I instantly thought of raging grindcore :)

[avatar]

A fair critique and one that I noticed while making the tune. I did try to change it up -- the chords in the chorus are different from the verse, for one thing, and I did try to do something a little different in the chorus melody. But duly noted.

[avatar]

I fixed the He is Fake link on my profile, it works now.

@nadine

Have fun ๐Ÿ˜Š I always wondered if their concerts are calm or wild. When I visited Soen last year, I was kind of shocked about the quiet crowd...

[avatar]
@nadine

Haha I had to laugh when you wrote "Dream Theater in a good way". I like prog music but I'm not a fan of DT. To me they sound like a club of extraordinary skilled musicians who show off their skills instead of writing good songs. For some reason none of their songs stay in my head. Porcupine Tree, Symphony X and Tesseract do a far better job in this regard. I can memorise and sing along even if they changed meters and keys!

[avatar]
@nadine

Hey! Feel free to post the song, copy snd paste the lyrics and add me as collaborator. I will make my lyrics private to avoid new comments. I look forward to your interpretation!

[avatar]

Hi there, demo up now for"the only thing that holds me here", if you're interested.

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you so much! I saved the song for you. I look forward to your heavy shreds!

[avatar]

Thanks for the comment on The Only Thing that Holds Me. Glad you like it and get the connections between love and blind faith...

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you! Should I save the lyrics for you? I could no biggie.

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks for your comment on "Beneath The Shell". Do you want to do something with the lyrics? Or should we wait? Just asking cause I try to avoid two different versions of a song...

[avatar]
@emplate

And cheers for the comment on "This Galaxy Is Too Large for the Two of Us"! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

[avatar]
@emplate

Thank you for the comment on "The Castle of Pain"! Yeah, Sapient definitely succeeded in summoning that Ancient Doom Magick!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks a lot for your comment on "No difference". Yes, I left out the reason why this person feels like that aka..what happened. Its been a fun write for me. Glad you enjoyed...

[avatar]
@tezzin

Thanks for the comment on "Waiting". I have to agree that the pre-chorus is the weakest part and probably will be the first to get re-worked a bit when I revisit the song later.

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you so much! Striking is a good pun :) Headshot!

[avatar]
@emplate

Thank you for the comment on "I Dread This Day"! It felt hectic making it, I can tell you that :D

[avatar]
@emplate

Cheers! Likewise, if you ever need harsh vocals, I'm happy to help :) But like said, I think you have an interesting sound of your own!

[avatar]
@emplate

Cheers for the comment on "Unfathomables Rise"! It's fun to sometimes speed ahead so hard that you almost lose control and end up in a ditch, hahah!

[avatar]

Thanks for your comment on "Come At Me Strange" -- that's interesting you heard a change in my vocal. I didn't even notice!

[avatar]

Thank you for your comments on We Who Live Beyond Our Time. to clarify, it is one song that has been split into two songs, with many of the same lines recurring in both songs.

[avatar]
@emmyhush

Hey, ah thanks for your encouragement for Smoke Signal - recording of it is now up - I have really struggled with energy and opportunity this week and got behind with creations! You have been busy I see!!

[avatar]
@negasi

Hey I have sent you another email with moggzy looped into the thread! All info is in the email! :D

[avatar]
@siasa

@dhiatt hey, so glad that worked for you! Sounds better I think. I've done the same myself before, so... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

[avatar]

Hey, thanks for your comment on my Toilet skirmish! I love that it wasn't what you expected. That's my favorite thing in music, I think. I appreciate the compliments on my performance too ๐Ÿงก It looks like we write similarly haha, I'd love to try a collab soon (possibly with a third person for the music)!

[avatar]
@negasi

Sent an email!

[avatar]
@negasi

Hey! I am the lyricist involved in the song so I don't know anything about the creation part. I was sent music with timestamps. I wrote lyrics to those time stamps (chorus verse etc) and I just can't sing it now. How shall I send it to you to have a look at? Email okay?

[avatar]
@tan482

Ahh yes I thought the same about the violin. I might play with the mix a little more and repost when I have time.

[avatar]
@siasa

Hey, thanks for your insightful comments on 'The Calling Tide.' Subject to Tanya having the time and inclination, I'd love to work on this track some more...

[avatar]
@dsimons

Thanks for the comments for St. Augustine, Daniel! It really is a special place to my wife and I. And it truly is haunted. I will share with you the reason I know sometime.

[avatar]
@sapient

Thanks for listening! Yeah, that awkward interval was because of the challenge. There's no way I'd normally try something like that... ๐Ÿคฃ

[avatar]

Thanks for the comment on my Soundboard. I enjoy your songs, too. I think we're neighbors...we live down the coast in Carmel.

[avatar]
@spinhead

why thank you for the insightful comment on my 'staff of life'

[avatar]
@emmyhush

Hi, thanks for your lovely comments! The full 3m20 version of Knot/Cage/Garden is up now in case you want to hear what happens later on in the song!! I was rushing and exported only half of the thing...d'oh!

[avatar]
@nadine

Thank you so much for your comments! I'm quite new to guitar playing, making small progress. It's been fun to dabble

[avatar]
@nadine

Thanks a lot! So happy to hear that my profile inspired you. Feel free to pick the elements you enjoy and adapt them to your situation. My profile grew over the years. There were years where people asked me to collab though I was already working on 10 songs, so I came up with the boxes... and that score card happened because my biggest focus is to get stuff done to the very end. Have a great FAWM!

[avatar]
@persaab

Thank you for nuce comments on my palindrome lyrics. ๐Ÿ˜Š

[avatar]
@siasa

Welcome! Got a PRS copy recently, but still trying to find out how it fits into my (mainly folk-rock) output.

[avatar]

Ooh, a PRS fan? Welcome to FAWM!

[avatar]
@tseaver

Welcome, and happy FAWMing!

[avatar]

Welcome ! Finally another FAWMer in SF!
