12: Sell The Difference! Lyra 8 Remix

by @frozenlonesome

Liner Notes

Sell The Difference! Lyra 8 Remix is a remix of my first FAWM 2025 track through the Lyra 8 mod delay and drive circuits with some additional Lyra 8 manipulation. https://write.fawm.org/songs/303947 Quoting from: https://somasynths.com/lyra-organismic-synthesizer/ “Welcome to the world of sound of LYRA-8, the unique organismic analogue synthesizer designed by Vlad Kreimer. “Organismic” means that LYRA uses some principles that lie in the base of living organisms. The way how LYRA’s modules interacting between each other and the behaviour of the instrument resembles a live conversation.”

Yes! Layers of manipulations for layers of manipulation! Trippy and I am always one that admires knob turning and more knob turning and sound mangling. 🙌🎶

It's layers upon layers of manipulation. I love the concept of taking a song that ALREADY features a lot of warping and effects, and twisting THAT even further! Very experimental

Warped and trippy, such cool otherworldly sounds, the ending is a nice touch.

Lyra 8 has been on my wishlist for a while. It's such an unique and interesting instrument, and this proves that it belongs on my wishlist for a reason. Cool stuff!

That synth is crazy cool! 🎵🎶 instrumentation seems almost cyborg like. Everything is whirring and mechanical sounding, but the perpetuation of the ebb and flow dynamically sounds very similar to breathing, or even a heartbeat. Really interesting 💚

Ok that is one crazy synth lol. Absolutely insane the textures you got out of it in this remix. It really does sound like a living organism. Wild stuff!

I see you are a kindred soul, for my song "A Dramatic New Product!" I also sampled some 1950's sales film (about tape cartridges). I dig this treatment. Nicely experimental, nice textures made from the oh-so-earnest sales pitch voice. I feel like now I should go and listen to the other one too.
