On Love

Liner Notes
Once again, I've had the privilege of working with a set of lyrics that Liz has created. My interpretation is that being in love matters more than who you choose, hence the line, "love is love is love".
This song took me longer than usual to put together, I like to play with chords and that play in the bridge created a trail to a different key. That left me with the dilemma - do I rewrite the music for the bridge so it stays in key or do I transpose the verse and chorus for the second half of the song. In the end, I kept the key change. The song now starts in G and ends in D.
Lyrics
On Love
V some express love through metaphors in verse some portray love through their beautiful words some define love through abstract images some give us love through truths they’ve lived
C love is love is love the ultimate of life’s work
love is love is love the miracle beyond birth
B to love one another is an arduous task the bond between two is a miracle that lasts the test and the proof is when giving is true the love that is shared protects solitude
C love is love is love the ultimate of life’s work
love is love is love the miracle beyond birth
V some express love through metaphors in verse some portray love through their beautiful words some define love through abstract images some give us love through truths they’ve lived
C love is love is love the ultimate of life’s work
love is love is love the miracle beyond birth

Lovely sentiments, and very appropriately sung over this lovely "multi-key" (!) arrangment! Very nice collaboration! ❤️
Beautiful love song and collaboration. Enjoying listening to your vocals and arrangement. You are a great team.
Nice arrangement. Some great chord changes. Great words and melody in the chorus. Nice lift.
lovely lyric from liz and paul sings it very lovingly. i dont see love as a verb, but as a noun..a place where you are either in or out of. and when two people are in that place together, they are in love. they dont have to do any thing. they are simply there.
The change of key comes across quite natural and you were right to keep it, sez I! And increases the interest of the tune. Liz, good lyrics as always. I don't have enough time these days!
