I needed something happy and upbeat today, so I reached for my ukulele. This one was inspired by pictures my snowbirding bandmates have been sending me lately, and the pile of snow out my window. I used two tempos, and steel drums on my synth, which were new skills to figure out.

Thankfully we didn't get that much snow in Manitoba and it's abnormally warm for this time of year. Most of Feb was frigid but it's nice now.
Also, the reggae beat surprised me and was good fun!

This is a fantastic song. Broadway??? I can here this being sung at EVERY bar in Florida The island vibe is perfect. Really love this ☀️

Right now, there's a two foot pile of snow on the patio table in our little courtyard. I can relate to the wish to be snowbirds! I am so ready for Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama - you name it - but I'll have to settle for your happy song. The Caribbean flavour to your track provides the required warmth...until I look out the window again.
