Lyrics

Interiorities (Dargan)

A E Crash! Bang! Wallop! Falling to the ground F#m D Shake the dust off everything but never make sound A E Peer upon the pieces of my finely-fractured mind… F#m D Crawl to where the pieces fell and see what I can find

E
Never letting go the breath F#m D Never letting go E D A D A Never letting go the breath E
Never letting go the breath F#m D Never letting go E D A D A Never letting go the breath

The electrons of my body, coursing cables of my soul Illuminating everything, the parts inside the whole Ever brimming power, expanding from within Ever growing outward, cutting through the din

(CHORUS)

Bm F#m Inside is dark and dry Bm D A Inside is brief and gone Bm F#m D Inside is everything at once E Inside is keeping on

Squinting in the darkness, praying for more light Sleep the endless day away, stay up all the night Bulging bulb, fragrant flower, striving for the sun Budding bloom, crawling so it one day, too, may run

(CHORUS) (CHORUS)

I'm loving your vocals and delivery, as well as the guitar work. There's real passion there. The chorus is very anthemic. And do I detect a bit of Talking Heads influence in the pre-chorus?

I like the title of this one. I enjoy how it mingles with the verse and chorus. I hear a metaphor for overcoming and perserverance. Keep up the hard work. Very inspirational!

This one has me thinking. When I listened, I interpreted it to mean the difficulty of explaining thoughts and feelings you have inside, because they are complicated and multifaceted. And then, the possibility that you’re either holding your breath for the entire time you are trying to sort out what you’re feeling, or reminding yourself to always breathe. Whatever the interpretation, I really like the lyrics and the song structure!
