Liner Notes
I had a couple of full-on metal tracks prepared, but when this idea of synths and drum machine combined with raw black metal came to my mind, I decided to run with it. It's stupid, simple and very käppä, but it might also be one of my favourites I've done this year, hahah! The overall execution owes heavily to Akitsa.
I wanted to try to pull more of a mid-range black metal vocals rather than low growls or high shrieks, but it's not quite there yet. Need to keep on experimenting.
Brutuböle is a real place in Finland. I've never been there, but I doubt there's actually a vampire castle in there, though...

this is epic, love the layers and that driving guitar that just snaps the song forward. your vocal delivery is SO killer and i am always so impressed by folks who can get their voice to sound like that!! takes a lot of practice 🔥

killer riff, all kinds of sick. i guess the drum machine puts you alongside ... godflesh, but that's a different genre?! i'm not sure of many metal bands that use drum machines. keep exploring!!

There's something very Darkthrone about this... I think it's the simplicity of the riff. They don't always hit the spot for me, but they do always remind me that simple is often best and that there is something evilly hypnotic that can come from it. Which is the vibe you've nailed with this for sure.

Love metal (and I did do one "metalish" song this FAWM--"DIGITAL UNDERGROUND"), and taught my boys to love it...but I've kind of gotten away from it over the years. Nice to hear this one to remind me how great it can be! (And it's SO popular in Scandanavia--what's up with that?) ❤️

Ooh this is very good and definitely giving vampire - think the midrange vocals are pretty on point really, and works very well here. Slightly black and roll vibes.
