Any
Singer/songwriter/producer/bad instrumentalist
Interested in trying out various genres and styles, but metal & video game stuff is my main biz.
FAWM 2019 was my first, and kinda kickstarted my songwriting and production. Now I actually make some money composing and producing stuff. Managed 13 songs!
FAWM 2020 I was too busy and managed just 2 songs.
FAWM 2021 I managed a handful, but far from the goal. 2022 I did a bunch of stuff but 2023 I was about to depart for Japan and couldnt make much.
FAWM 2024 I'll did do some gothic poppy death metal with folky shenanigans.
This FAWM I think I'll go something somethig WAVE something METAL. Inspired by the Yamaha DSR-500 I got from my big brother!
For vocals I use SM7B and Se2200II microphones, running them through UA VOLT. For the SM7B I use sE DM1 preamp.
Guitar is a Jackson something or the other I got 20 years ago from my old band's guitarist. It has a lot of stickers, orange knobs and bad contact jack. It is in a hefty drop A tuning.
Synth is YAMAHA DSR-500, a "käppäsyna" from the late 80s! The manual says it's a "professional" synth, so that's cool!
I sing in a band called Hanging Garden, and do vocals & production on this geek project Songs of the CVLT on youtube.

Thank you for your kind words on Chthonic Triad! I checked out Hanging Garden - really cool what you guys are doing. Your vocals are top notch, a real joy to listen to!
Thanks for the comment on "Pitch Black valiant Star"! Haven't played FTL myself. I pictured old racing games like Lotus 3 for example while writing.
Cheers for the comment on "I Dread This Day"! Yeah, I also thought that blastbeats were maybe a bit too uplifting for the genre, but nice if you liked that bit!
Thank you for the comment on "Brutubölen vampyyrilinna", my därk bröther! Let's move there together!
Thank you, again, for the comment on my track! FAWM always brings out some experimentation. Now there's a couple of metal tracks as well (one a collab), so somewhat closer to my usual area musically 🙂
Cheers for the comment on "Graves of Black Heritage"! It always feels good to get a compliment from you for the sound stuff, 'cause you know that department! Also great to hear about the mood it created. I aimed for something horror movie-like, but wasn't sure if I nailed. Based on your comment, the inspiration of the track can be heard in it, heh.
Thanks! YMCK is a chiptune band that I'd never heard of, but one of the members makes a free NES plugin: https://ymck.net/app/magical-8bit-plug-en/
Oh god, yeah, we need to do something! I'm open to ideas! 😁 I'm on both Instagram and fb messenger if you want to get a chat going!
Thänksistä for the komment on "Flowers of Evil"! Yes, I use my beloved käppä-Yamaha for all my synth needs!
Thank you kindly for the comment on Shimmering Rain!
And oh, the track was played with a guitar I bought from Jude! My first one was done with it as well. I understood that some stuff on the upcoming HG album has been recorded with it. :)
Cheers for the comment on "Larvae Altar", bro! I'd love to collab with you! I'll holler you if I come up with more death filth (that's actually a great song title, should we use it? Hahah!) I have a few ideas lined up right now, but we'll see if I could get something down when I'm on vacation, which is a week from now. I suppose you might be loma äiä then also?
Kiitos paljon! Elden Ringiä kannattaa aina jatkaa, se on helvetin mainio peli. Nimim. Melkein 550h Elden Ringiä takana
thanks for your comment on my myth rap track
Yeah, I think you mentioned Thyssia to me last year. I already followed VT on YouTube, but hadn't noticed that particular instrument - it's perfect for this stuff. You may have also turned me on to RevC, can't remember 😅
Ave for the comment on "Kaikuu yössä muisto"! Hope you had fun with the Germans!
Have a good FAWM! I loved your stuff last year.
Thanks for the comment 😀
