Lyrics

Well I was drowning my sorrows in glass of Bulleit Rye When in walked the woman of my dreams Well I asked her to join me she sat by my side And told her sad story to me

Later that evening she asked do I dance I said I know a step or two She pulled me to the dance floor we waltzed hand in hand All I could think of was you

Chorus Sadsongs and waltzes the jukebox was playing Took me back to a place and time But I'm happy right here with her ill be Staying To waltz you right out of my mind

Well the bar was soon closing we weren't quite done she said I have some whiskey at home We talked until morning then we watched the sun Come up as we waltzed there alone

I love the storytelling here. You’ve laid it out so well, with just the right twist in the chorus. Musically, this is a great example of Americana, with a classic structure, a lovely melody, and excellent guitar work. Another great one!

Really nice tune! The vocals and guitar sound great, and the storytelling in the lyrics is exceptional. Well done!
