I wrote the original lyrics to this song almost 40 years ago but it's been rolling around in my head so I had an idea to reimagine it in an open tuning, in this case DADGAD. I wanted to do at least a couple open tuning songs for this year's FAWM.

The tuning gives is the nostalgic and sad sound a goodbye song needs.

Wow, can absolutely feel this as you sing it. I think you're right to do it in DADGAD - it really breathes and give you room to feel everything.

It may be almost 40 years ago but the song still evokes the feeling of a recent breakup. Good work and thanks for sharing.
