Homebody

Liner Notes
This is probably my roughest demo for this year (so far) Just wanted to record the idea, still figuring out a lot of the nuts and bolts, but also want to move on to something else. Any suggestions on how you think it should go (music wise) I'm all ears.
Lyrics
Homebody
[They say to write a good song You gotta go out and live Well I beg to differ]
I’m a homebody, I hide behind the door when I hear somebody And theres nobody That can drag me to explore I let my whole body go limp you’ll see me hug the floor Oh don’t fight it just let me stay at home, ill have my own party alone buddy
I’m afraid It’d be a chore If you drag me to that store I don’t really need to eat so why don’t you just let me be
I'm afraid I’d be a bore If you take me to the shore I don't need to feel the breeze Just let me stay and drink my tea
Got it all planned out as long as my internet connection pans out It could take another year or two or maybe only till my bills are due Oh woe is me, If ever I’m forced to leave, cause

I like the way the singer lats it all out there. I don’t want to pretend to be someone else. I just want to be me. I’m imagining a little bit of soaring vocal as the song goes on - on I’m a Homebody - becoming more and more comfortable ( oh, there it is. yes!)
This just seems so authentic. I love it. All the little details make it seem true. I especially like the half-rhymes in the first verse and the mixture of different formality in the word choices. And the way it gets louder at the end. It's great when people feel confident to say who they are and what they like - unless this is a made up story about a fictional person. We'll never know... #tit4tat
Cool idea for lyrics! I think the lyrics are quite strong, but yeah I kinda agree that maybe the right musical fit hasn't been found yet. I could almost hear this as a punk song? Regardless, the lyrics are really cool and this one would certainly me worth developing a bit further once the FAWM dust settles. Nice work! #tit4tat
Oh my goodness this is great! These lyrics are so clever and I especially loved the chorus - such great vivid imagery, and honestly we never answer the door unless we know who it is, and sometimes not them! I like the rhythmic low percussive strum, the spoken word intro, and your passionate vocals. This was a really fun song but also a relatable song - not everyone feels like this all the time, but most of us feel like this at least some of the time.
Yes, stay at home! this is so enthusiastic and a bit tongue-in-cheek and a lot of fun. #tit4tat if you're doing that.
