Sapient: When one of the original FAWMers messages you with lyrics like this, you sit up and take notice. To me there was just something so ethereal about these words, something deeply nagging and intense, like the remnants of a dream you just can't shake off.
When I came to write the music, the opening riff just arrived immediately, and the vibe was immediately set when I accidentally started using the wrong drum kit and it came out all weirdly shamanic...
fireball: i've probably watched too much true crime. at the beginning of the month, i was slightly watching something about a murder prosecution with no body. i wrote the first lines. then later wrote about other body connections. only after giving the poemy part to sapient did i lean toward the ghosty part at the end.

Oh man, this is awesome! This is just so ominous in the best of ways. The chant really sells this and the whole thing is just epic and unsettling.
This is a fantastic match of sound and lyric!

Bro... WHAT? This is quite a mash-up of vibes! Desolation in the ethereal. Absolutely on point iconic black metal sound. Nailing the vocals and the mix sounds great. Wonderfully dark lyrics invoking the hungry ghost. The ending with the cymbal crash is so simple yet commanding too. Great stuff!

Very ominous intro, definitely summoning something dark from the past... I love blasting, but this kind of slow and haunting black metal can be so much more venomous and EVIL. Definitely the right choice for this kind of lyrical hex casting!

Wonderfully heavy; great eerie sound from the chanting and drums. Lyrics are awesomely doomy and heavy. Guitars are delightfully heavy, love the tone and dissonance. Feels like it needs a little space to breath between verses. OVerall very cool and makes you feel like you've had an experience, transported to someplace creepy.

I love the combination of tribal-/shamanistic drumming and the very tasteful no-nonsense-just-pure-evil guitars here. And the intro is freeeakyyyy! Great lyrics too, dark, intriguing theme. Excellent!
