#lyricsonly #german I looked for a similar word that I felt like I understood, though I am far from fluent in German. I got only lyrics for a verse and chorus before I ran out of time. There should be a second verse along the same lines. This is about suspecting that a person’s persistent small compliments are digs.

In German colloquial language we have word called "hinterfotzig" (rather vulgar, but not as much as it sounds). I think that expresses the sentiment rather aptly.
