Oh How the Sparrow Flies + harmonica

by @ambroise · @steveodell · @pippa

Liner Notes

@steveodell did beautyfull lyrics sad and still hopefull. https://write.fawm.org/songs/307768 @pippa sang it with a very sensible voice and guitar. I just felt like joining the party ! Thanks for leting me in ! Though it needed something shy light and free so it was a good excuse not to work too much or overthink it. Maybe I added too much reverb, but it's about a bird flying, it should spread some wings !

Lyrics

A sparrow flies above the garden Its shadow cast on the ground Springtime is coming And flowers soon will bloom

Its been a dead winter With everything dark and bleak We dig ourselves out And look around

Oh how the sparrow flies Its sweet song in the air Its silhouette fills the sky We see its light breath Passing by

Such a small fragile thing Against the weight of the world one of goodness and love In a long persistent headwind

Oh how the sparrow flies We search for joy under dark clouds Bare toes walking on hot coals We Live and laugh

Invisible forces Kick us in the face And then Vanish without a trace Just the sadness And the pain Is all we remember

Oh how the sparrow flies Its sweet song in the air Its silhouette fills the sky We see its light breath Passing by

Light and sweet despite everything, like birdsong. It's good to be reminded of these parts of life.

Beautiful guitar and vocals, and the harmonica actually sounds like a sparrow flying around. Lovely lyrics.

Well this sure is a pretty song! I love that guitar! The vocals are a real treat bringing the song to life! And that harmonica is just a delight to the ears!! "Oh how the sparrow flies" is such a lovely title and hook! These lyrics remind us of the beautiful sparrow when we are still reeling from being kicked in the face! I love that! And I love this song!! #tit4tat

Well-chosen words here. They have a lot of value to them, and I love it. Loving the harmonica, too! It really shines in the context of the song. 😀

This is great all 'round. Very relaxed in tempo and groove, the guitar keeping me rooted in a safe place, while the lyrics add a touch of darkness. I like it.

The vocals, too... This is a genre I wouldn't normally listen to, but the vocals are on point and I can tell this is a keeper. 😀
