Our Next Goodbye ❤️

One on the baritone acoustic. Sorry for all the pitchy notes and flubbed finger strokes.

Lyrics

If you tell me why you're leaving Then I'll tell you why I cry Save your breath I'm not believing Keep it for our next goodbye

I'm not the one who holds the answer I'm not the one who has to lie

You keep looking for a reason You want to hide the motive why You can't stand that we're not even Keep it for our next goodbye

I'm not the one who holds the answer I'm not the one who has to lie

You don't have to try and tell me What you're looking for You don't have to lie, just tell me You're wanting something more

I'm not the one who holds the answer I'm not the one who has to lie You cut me out just like a cancer So save it for our next goodbye

A very sad and vulnerable lyric. It's lovely. I love this melody too and, once again, your gentle guitar accompaniment. This one's a keeper for sure. Love it!

When I read the title, I knew I was going to like this! Excellent lyrics, which is one of my special interests. Your vocal and music fit the message perfectly. The first V is particularly good, IMO. Nice work!

The baritone guitar sounds so good! Especially the deep strum when the chorus hits. Damn, I started the classifieds app to look for such a guitar before the song was over. For my taste the melody of the first chorus line is so strong that it could come twice, also the chorus could consist of four lines. However, I really enjoyed my listen.

Oh wow, that deep sound got me from the first few notes. Out of the limited sampling of songs of yours I've heard over the years (which is to say I've heard many but you write a lot more than that), I'd have to say this is one of my favs! Dynamically and emotionally sung - good balance of quiet/loud. Really excellent guitar playing to pair with it. This song would quiet a crowded room I bet.

The baritone guitar gives a certain gravitas for the accompaniment. Nice lyrics. Cool hook.

I love the sound of that baritone guitar. A strong sound to go with the strong feeling of disappointment for a friendship lost or on the rocks. Nice work 😎

Ooh what a hook. ‘Save it for our next goodbye’ really hits home. Relatable relationship song. I particularly like your voice in this. ‘Cut me out just like a cancer’ is a killer line. Hammer-ons and bass runs for the win.

powerful and the baritone guitar was a great choice for this (and now I want to take out my baritone resonator and do something with it!) - this lyric says alot in just a few words, and its really effective- and that ever so slightly hesitant delivery is actually perfect for this, its a song that somehow benefits from not being ultra-polished... nice nice work! and a great answer/cancer rhyme, too.
