Gentle Things

Liner Notes
This morning I was reading some wonderful poetry. It was so beautiful and gentle, it made my heart happy. It made me think of gentle things, so I started writing my own lyrical poetry, layered some gentle sounds, and hopefully created a gentle melody and sing it in a way that matches. Oh, how we do need more gentle things!
Songwise, I find it kinda fun when I create a song without any chords involved, just a bunch of layered accent notes. I could go back and add a keyboard layer and a chord progression. But it’s time to move on, lol.
Lyrics
Flowers in the field Gentle things You make my heart happy And my eyes sing I love you and thank you For all you bring Gentle things Oh gentle things
Birds in the air Gentle things You make my heart soar When you take to wing I love you and thank you For all you bring Gentle things Oh gentle things
Gentle things Oh gentle things We need more gentle things Take my hand Walk with me Gentle thing My gentle thing
I love you and thank you For all you bring Gentle thing Sweet gentle thing

Jeff, I'd say you fully succeeded with meeting your intentions here. The lyrics mesh with the accented note melody most beautifully. Thanks for the gentle reminder about gentleness.
Simple, sweet...and the prosody is dead on! "Gentle things" is a really strong hook. Congrats on getting one step closer to 14!
