It's been a while since I posted a song, but I've been writing a ton, just several at once so expect more to come. This song came about from a skirmish called #WhatKindofBluesAreThese. I wrote the riff and before I knew it hours had passed and I knew this wasn't going to be a simple write. This is the "first" draft, meaning the lyrics and sections are complete, the song feels whole, but I believe there will be rewrites. I liked the play on words with being love sick and being sick of love, but the more I sang it the more I think the focus shifted to falling in love while "sick" while not focused on personal healing. I don't know the lyrics reflect that meaning yet, but I was itching to post. So here's track 5, and I definitely plan to complete this challenge by the end of the month. Sweet riff! Sick vocals! I love you describing your process of trying to find the lyrics, it's relatable to any songwriter who has "something" but knows it's just off by a little.
Your production is, as always, lush and full and a breath of fresh air. I love the chorus, how it's like a semi-ramble that blurs into itself to have multiple meanings. And the POST CHORUS! That synth melody is addictive! Love the bass at the end, so thick and juicy. I'm jealous of your production skills, mate.
Another great one. Haven't disappointed!

Great skirmish song!! heck, great song period!! Im amazed you put that together so fast!! The chord progression is pure gold and the vocals rock.. Love the "all by myself" hook... that coulda been the title of the song!!
