I've been working on this one since Thursday (Feb 20). It started as a "Lunchtime Song" that I worked on during my ½ hour lunch on Thursday & Friday. It began to evolve this weekend as I started adding vocal samples from Loopcloud & I really started to put all the pieces together in Buzz's Sequencer. I still feel like the song is lacking, but I can't afford to swim through its dark waters any longer. It's time to move on to some of my Muse's other ideas & desires, & to crawl out of this ambient rabbit hole. So this is GEFF (Good Enough For FAWM). I'm just FAWMing it…
The main drone is created by a couple of HG Fortune VSTs. There's some organ in there (Loopcloud samples), along with some haunting percussion (c/o the Pearl Drum Buzz Machine). The piano & guitar are both DSK VSTi's, & yeah, I had fun playing around with 3D space in this one c/o dearVR's Micro. Sounds like a priestess completing the ritual to wake up some immense machine. I imagine it moving for the first time in centuries: metal plates scraping against each other, seized joints suddenly freed, while distant fanfares herald its return to action...

Such a natural flow to this, could keep going, the quiet voice goes with the nightly feeling in it.

This sound is so aquatic... It feels good to dive into its depths and to float on its surface. At first it's simply relaxing to be there, but soon it becomes so weird that we can no longer afford to daydream. It's totally like we've been caught by Sirens' chants. We don't resist (we don't want to), but we are aware the situation is risky. Anyway, we'll keep diving willingly into those waters. Because it feels good there, no matter weird and dark it is.
