All Flags Are Black When The Lights Go Out

Liner Notes
I like to mix up the genres but I wanted to double dip on #punk bc it's fun 😄
Should mention, the sampled piece is Wade in the Water as recorded by Sunset Four Jubilee Singers in 1925:
Lyrics
No one loves merit like the meritless America's parrots shopping for whatever narrative Makes it imperative to take out all the trash Then you're asking where's the art, where's the soul (While your boot's on its throat) Break your part, change your role (Or live your whole life by rote) Where'd you start? What's the goal? (The top deck doesn't float) Having heart takes a toll (& we're all in the same boat)
Maximize shareholder return on medication Maximize shareholder return on fighter jets Maximize shareholder return on transportation Maximize shareholder return on the internet & if you start to doubt, turn on telecommunications They'll remind you what you think Do you feel reassured because the people all around you Insist that we've retreated from the brink? & if you don't agree cause you know better than me, roll up your sleeves Tell me I'm wrong in a song as good as this one
Wade in the water Wade in the water, children Wade in the water God's gonna trouble the water

Pretty amazing by your vocal flow on this one! How can you spit so many words per seconds? Great song!
Great punk tune, I like the lyrics! cool sampling as well
As an old punk rocker this immediately brought a smile on my face. Your rhyming and vocal delivery is excellent here! Reminds me of early bad religion. Maybe this sort of protest punk is in your wheelhouse?
You got those words coming out with some power and venom. This has power both musically and lyrically. And ending it with wade in the water is ultimate punk turn. My older punk self really enjoyed this. 🤘
