Hi all, I have been in bad shape emotionally since the 5th, and then terrible shape emotionally since the 12th, and I lost every bit of motivation and inspiration in that time. I ended up going all the way back to a draft of something from December ’23, intending to at least get that #finished, but I’m left thoroughly unhappy with the arrangement. Still, putting it out there to at least have something.

This is about how exes in life (whether lovers or friends) don’t owe you reconnection or a chance to explain things later on, no matter what. So it’s intellectually knowing that, and still feeling hurt about it.

So peppy, poppy, and lovely for a song with such sad lyrics. Kind of reminds me of the Go-Go’s at points. I like the contrasting, choppy rhythm of the chorus, very cool switch up. Hope your March is going better ❤️

This is really gorgeous. Great melodies, killer harmonies, and the backing vibe is really cool. Glad you put it out there, seems to me that the longing of the melodies really works with the lyric. Here's to better days ahead...

I really like this lively melody and instrumentation. Feels very '80's, a great decade of music. Great lyric. Yeah, sometimes it's hard to just let go and move on. Great song!

Weldone for getting something out during a difficult time, i think thats an achievement in itself without the fact that the song is brilliant! There was a line in a verse that really stood out, the change is rhythm to "and I’m still checking messages" scratched my brain in a really good way. Yeah I love this, I'm gonna come back and listen again!
