Hi everyone! I’ve been doing FAWM for a few years now under the same username, but I came out publicly as a #transgender woman in April 2023 and am now Caroline (she/her). It’s so wonderful continuing to learn and grow here as a musician and a person! My femme voice is better than last year but it’s still pretty wild to re-learn how to sing all over again.
I would love to collaborate vocally and add anything I can to songs! My range in femme voice is around F2–C4, I can go lower but I’ll probably reserve that for masculine voice only on my own tracks.
I have some real keys (piano, accordion, and some hardware synths) and various stringed instruments (guitars, mandolin, ukulele bass, violin), along with a bunch of virtual organs and pianos and synths. And lots of other random stuff, kalimbas, toy piano, German xylophone, playable music boxes, some Pocket Operators, self-made sampled instruments, I like experimenting. Let me know!

just saw your mention under "Sorry About the Mess" (https://write.fawm.org/songs/315756) - god knows I love Freezepop, I found them by way of the Rock Band video games when i was 12 and the whole discography has been in rotation in my mind 24/7 since. total musical goals, it's the best stuff ever. my fellow trans music friend and long-time-lurker, first-time-FAWMer @icosahedron is super influenced by them too.

That's so awesome because, while I have 4 kids, it's actually MY 11-yr-old that I was thinking about the most when I wrote the lyrics. The oldest is a 13 yr old, and they both have birthdays relatively soon, too. 😣 Anyway, moms fucking rock. Happy fawm!

thank you for the words under "Town of Hate"!! i've had that song formulated in my mind for a whiiile but never really realized it beyond now and a weird mumbly voice memo i did in bed a year ago - the solo has always been there. i feel a little weird about it being so short since i always pictured it as a brief-vocal, long-instrumental thing, but i don't really want it to overstay its welcome either so i like it as is. glad you dig it, and thank you for the gratz!
